Precision Dentistry
Dr. Yatco uses surgical telescopes to enhance the precision of patient care. Dentistry is micro-surgery. Use of the surgical telescope enables Dr. Preston to provide treatment with a degree of precision that can’t be achieved with the naked eye.
Digital Imaging (X-Rays)
Dr. Yatco chooses carefully which and when radiographs (x-rays) are taken. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs. Dr. Yatco utilizes digital imaging technology, which offers more precision because we view the images on a computer monitor instead of holding 35mm films up to the light. Digital x-rays result in approximately one quarter of the radiation exposure of traditional x-rays. We are able to save those images in our computer so that they can be used for communication with specialists and insurance companies.
Intraoral Camera
Dr. Yatco utilizes intraoral camera technology that helps enhance your understanding of your diagnosis. An intraoral camera allows us to view clear, precise images of your mouth, teeth, and gums, in order for us to accurately make a diagnosis. Just as with digital radiographs, we are able to save intraoral camera images in our computer so that they can be used for communication with specialists, labs, and insurance companies.
